“It’s not stress that kills us; it is our reaction to it. – Hans Selye”

Nowadays, life has become so stressful that we don’t have time to look after ourselves or I should say we purposefully have developed our lifestyle and work culture in such a way that we are prone to take stress. May be stress is due to work pressure, personal problem, or family problem. Thus, stress is a common thing to happen.

However, as people have become more health conscious, people do many activities; attend seminars, and lectures to improve their health. As stress is nowadays a global problem, various health institutes and health experts have now become conscious and reaching out to people to make them aware about Stress Management.

Similarly, Techno Infonet too is health conscious and believes in maintaining good health. Thus, as a part of our 2nd Saturday Activity, our HR planned a Stress Management Seminar under the guidance of Mr. Devinder Singh from an institute named Heartfulness.

Mr. Singh started off with a formal introduction of his and the organization. Moving further he explained us about the concept of ‘dhyan’, its advantages and then about meditation and its usefulness. We performed the exercise of ‘dhyan’ for about 5 – 7 minutes concentrating upon anything favorite. Well, it was altogether a different experience. Most of us did it for the first time and experienced relaxation and happiness. After this, he explained us about the importance of balancing our work life and personal life through meditation. A 10 – 15 minute meditation was carried out by all employees and received peace and relaxation of mind and thoughts.

Well, it was a great seminar realizing the importance of meditation and dangerous outcomes of living a stressful life.
